Land Rover has just made big moves in the Indian luxury SUV market. The British carmaker recently launched the ultra-exclusive Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition, designed specifically for India. Range Rover Electric Launch Delayed to 2026

Many Indian buyers were expecting the first-ever Range Rover Electric to arrive by late 2025. However, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has confirmed that the launch is now delayed until 2026.

Why is it Delayed?

The company wants to ensure the electric SUV is perfect before it hits the road. The Range Rover Electric is currently being tested in extreme conditions—from -40°C freezing temperatures in Sweden to 50°C heat in Dubai. JLR says they need more time to guarantee it meets the “true Range Rover” standards of off-road capability and luxury.

When it launches in 2026, it is expected to:

• Wade through 850 mm of water (a record for electric luxury SUVs).
